“Closer” is the theme of this fast; as we ponder this topic, we must earnestly value the closeness and strength of a knot. Ecclesiastes 4:12 shares with us that a threefold cord is not easily broken. To some of us, closer will mean tighter and firmer to others is will mean calling on the Lord for rescue and comfort. No matter how you define closeness in your life right now, it will indeed be your benefit to seek a more profound and more prosperous relationship with God that will bring us closer to Him.

Strength for the fast is prayer and being infused with the word of God. Every week will gather for corporate prayer, where we will be joined by a different guest each Friday at 7 pm. Let us posture our hearts for revival, healing, and renewal by following this guide and relying on each other as a safe, healthy community of believers. Before you begin, take to heart one of my favorite scriptures when I seek the Lord with fasting and prayer Joel 2:19 The Lord replied to them: “I am sending you grain, new wine, and olive oil, enough to satisfy you fully; never again will I make you an object of scorn to the nations. I rest in faith that when we approach the Lord with the right posture in a fast, he ALWAYS replies.
